How to register in Malta
- Obtain an MTA licence before advertising or operating — advertising without one is itself an offence.
- Comply with Legal Notice 92/2026 occupancy limits: maximum 2 persons per bedroom, 10 persons per unit unless the unit has independent street access.
- Basement or underground bedrooms are now prohibited.
- Designate a physical person available 24/7 to handle complaints, and cap individual bookings at 90 consecutive days.
